Rimbun Dahan hosts a range of artists’ residencies to encourage visual artists, choreographers and other creative individuals to explore and develop their artistic work.
Since 1994, more than 30 visual artists have stayed and worked at Rimbun Dahan in year-long residencies. Many other artists have also found inspiration during shorter residencies at Rimbun Dahan.
The permanent collection of works of art at Rimbun Dahan includes work by former resident artists as well as works by other Malaysian and international artists, displayed in the Underground Gallery and outdoors.
The Dance Programme at Rimbun Dahan runs a number of activities throughout the year, most related to contemporary dance, including workshops, Dancing in Place, and the residency for choreographers.
